The Invesco S&P 500— Equal Weight Consumer Staples ETF is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Monday, with over 312,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 53,000. Shares of RSPS were up about 1.2% on the day.
Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Monday were Walgreens Boots Alliance, trading up about 4.2% with over 13.5 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Mondelez International, off about 1.8% on volume of over 12.0 million shares. Hershey is the component faring the best Monday, up by about 12.8% on the day, while Altria Group is lagging other components of the Invesco S&P 500— Equal Weight Consumer Staples ETF, trading lower by about 2.3%.
